INTERVIEWER ; Who is Gilbert kilemba William??
DOPE WIZARD ; Gilbert is a rapper, music producer and singer from Mombasa,Kenya. I sell beats online under my brand Dope Wizard Beats. I've released a couple of singles and collaborated with artists like Qritiqal and Bandanah (but in production not a recording collabo) .ive done a recording collabo with one upcoming artist from Mombasa called Naffy Tiller. I'm 19 years old. Currently I'm also in campus doing Bcom in KAFUCO(Kaimosi Friends University College) in vihiga county but from there I still pursue my music career since I travel to Nairobi to record and work as a part time music producer for Qritiqal at Chocolate City Music Group, Kenya.
INTERVIEWER ; What inspired you to be a producer??
DOPE WIZARD ; I look up to various key music producers. In Africa, I look up to Team Salut from Ghana and worldwide I look up to Metro Boomin. In fact, when I started music production back in 2014 in form one, I learnt how to use the FL studio 12 music production software from music production tutorials by metro Boomin on YouTube

DOPE WIZARD ; I guess so
INTERVIEWER ; As a producer you only make beats?? If there is anything else please elaborate.
DOPE WIZARD ; I make beats and also do vocal mastering and editing.
INTERVIEWER ; How does a producer make his money??
DOPE WIZARD ; An artist pays the producer to make him(the artist) a beat, record him,master the vocals and make sure the song comes out perfect.
INTERVIEWER ; What beat have you produced, that a musician killed it? name the musician too,
DOPE WIZARD ; A beat called sip and relax. It was killed by Qritiqal
INTERVIEWER ; And how do you protect yourself from musicians ( the redsans) kind??
DOPE WIZARD ;hahaha!! I haven't come across any violent artists like redsan yet but in case it happens, I'm quite fit for a fight.
INTERVIEWER ; What are your goals?
DOPE WIZARD ; To become one of the most influential rappers and music producer in Africa
INTERVIEWER ; How does Bcom relate to your current goal?
DOPE WIZARD ; Bcom will help me in future since I plan on creating my own record label and with that knowledge I'll be able to manage it effectively and earn more profit. You have to see Music as a business in order to make more out of it
INTERVIEWER ; Where did the name dope wizard beats come from?
DOPE WIZARD ; Wizard : a person who is best/good at something. E.g computer wizard. Dope : Excellence in swag / good appeal. If you combine the two.... I'm someone who is very good in swag/ good appeal.
INTERVIEWER ; Would you go for HIV test with your girlfriend? Why? *
DOPE WIZARD ; Yes. Because, it's important that you know your partner's status to avoid being infected. It also builds trust and confidence between me and my girlfriend.
INTERVIEWER ; Would you wear a green suit? Why?? Or why not?? *
DOPE WIZARD ; No. I personally believe suits should be either black or grey, bright coloured suits are for preachers and comedians.
INTERVIEWER ; Define a slay queen in your own words ?
DOPE WIZARD ; Dope Wizard: A lady with alot of pride and ego yet she lives a fake life.
INTERVIEWER ; What do you think of religion?
DOPE WIZARD ; Dope Wizard: I believe that everyone should respect the other person's religion and there shouldn't be any discrimination . As for me I'm a Christian, but I respect all other religions
